What is AIM?
AIM is a system for managing your appraisal business. The system is built in Google Sheets and is divided into two integrated worksheets, Hub and Manager. The Hub is where your appraisal order data will be entered and tracked. The Hub includes tools for quickly entering data, simple color-coded job status summaries, message capture, a calendar, and tracking client requirements. The Manager sheet presents 30 key performance indicators (KPIs) in chart and table form, the ability to track billings and receivables, automatic fee split calculations, automatic deposit log tracker and check register, and the ability to leverage year-over-year (YoY) data (when you renew with us).
Why Google Sheets?
Google Sheets is extremely flexible and powerful and leverages Google’s services for reliability and access. With Google Sheets, you can quickly utilize Google Calendar, Tasks, Contacts, and Keep from within AIM, in addition to many other addons built for Sheets. You also get mobile access on Android and Apple products with Google’s native Sheets apps. Manage your business anywhere.
Why two worksheets instead of just one?
AIM is divided into two sheets for two reasons. First, incorporating too much data and charts can slow down Sheets. Secondly, in multi-user offices, the owner will likely not want to share some of the KPIs included in Manager with everyone on staff. Notably, appraiser production figures and fee splits.
Why does support end on December 31st, and why do I need to renew?
With Google Sheets as the basis for AIM, there is not currently a centralized method for releasing updates to the system, and any changes must be implemented for each account. Each year, we intend to release a new version of AIM with additional features and improvements. AIM is a support subscription model, and we will gladly help with questions or issues with the system during the support period. If you choose not to renew, the sheets remain yours to use, but we will be unable to assist with any issues or questions beyond the subscription period. By not renewing, you will also lose access to the YoY analysis included in each new version.
Why is there not an option for one user?
AIM works best and is designed for collaboration in managing the appraisal process. Two users are included in the base price to encourage users to segment and delegate portions of the order management process. Doing so can free up your time to complete more appraisals, get more clients, get better clients, or simply work less!
